Poetic Battle Cry

"My Homeless, Your World"

Today I whispered to the winds, I closed my

eyes and said goodnight to all my friends

Today I danced with a new tomorrow

And laughed at the day that gave me sorrow

Today I covered my face with a dream

And washed my body from a quiet stream

Today I cried in my labor of love and

Covered my soul with the clouds above

Today I wished the stars away and

Ask the sun to wake me up to pray

Today I blew the dust of emptiness away

and traded my home for less than a day.

Today I smiled at a beautiful tree and

Danced where the mindless run free

Today I have awaken from the shadows of my fear,

And smiled knowing that God is still near!

Today I say Hello to my Homeless,
